Dr. Alyssa Pires graduated from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine and did her clinical year at Michigan State University before moving back home to Connecticut. She is a 2017 graduate from the University of Connecticut where she majored in Animal Science and Pathology. She’s always known she was going to be a veterinarian and has a passion for helping people take the best care of their pets. She enjoys everything that veterinary medicine has to offer, but has a special interest in shelter medicine, dentistry, and preventative care. When she is not working, she enjoys hiking, skiing, traveling, and spending time with her dogs, Maisie and Bella, and her cat, Penelope.
